I had my new blog indexed in a few hours the other night and it was indexed for over 30 hours, now its not there site:mydomain.com returns nothing!!

Its a wordpress review blog using the wordpress review theme with 100%unique content that i wrote of the top of my head.

Is this pretty normal? This has never happened to me. I guess i can move it if its doomed but the url i bought as freakin' awesome and i hate to lose it.

That's not unusual. A new site often disappears briefly 2-3 days after appearing in Google. Give it 48 hours and I bet you see it back.

I hope so, i know in my head it will come back but when it happens it is stressful and my rational thought goes out the window.

The only thing i did to get it indexed was put a link in a on two separate blogs i have that are in the same niche.

the domain name was just so perfect, so perfect i could not believe it was not taken!

It's alright, it could be something called QDF.. Google puts fresh content ahead of stale content for a short while, in certain topics.

It could be that, but just to be on the safe side don't build too many backlinks too quickly and don't add too much content to start with (I mean like 100's of pages).

Before I publish a new site , I will normally have 100 plus pages of original content on it . Of course this is not for mini sites but those I plan on running long term.

I also add back links as quickly as possible but admit they are done manually .

I have never had a problem with google thinking I was adding too much content from the start or too many back links .

Do you have any actual instances of Google having a problem with this or are you basing this on the opinions of others ?

It happens sometimes, just be patient and wait, Google will index it again in a few hours/days, especially if you promote it a bit. Stick to unique content though and don't make an autoblog, or you will be deindexed forever.

breathe! search WF - you'll see this question gets asked a LOT.

Personally I reckon G does that on purpose - just so we all know who's in charge!

    It'll be back - don't fret none

I have had some sites take 7-12 days to show up in the G-Index, so sometimes it does require patience.

You can keep pinging and bookmarking the site in the mean time to try and speed it up.

Another thought is that maybe the site in question was too "thin" of an affiliate site in Google's eyes and they booted it. Not sure how much content you had on it and how many affiliate links??

I would just give it some time and continue building links to it.

Hey good news the about page got indexed today!! Funny thing is it has no text on it yet. Very wierd, most of my WP blogs stick right away.

It had three review posts over 800 words each
