a Wordpress question that I hope YOU have the answer to.

I've been trying and trying and trying to make this work.I'm using Wordpress Direct.I log into the admin system.Put in the text and put in the links.And if I view the page from the admin then it looks ok.But if I go to the site directly then the links don't work and there is some html in the bottom.It's driving me crazy!!! Since I can't post a link you have to go to my sig and it's in the "horse rental" category

the links on the horse rental site were ok????? I looked both with Firefox and IE and the links don't work

Halli - did you by chance add the links in the Visual tab of your post editor instead of the HTML tab?

This is what I see at the bottom of that post:

If I look at your Page Source (in browser, View/Page Source) I can see your HTML code and it's not HTML formatted. Where the symbols in your code should be (ie, < or : ) there are the character name formats for those characters - which is what happens when you enter HTML in the Visual editor.

Just a thought.

It looks OK on my side (on a Firefox browser). I don't see any HTML.
The content may need some formatting though.

You definitely pasted in WYSIWYG instead of html code mode.

I am not 100% sure what I did but I think I put the text in (in visual mode) and then inserted the links with the "insert link" button that is there.I'm wondering why it looks right in the preview (with no html in the bottom) but when I go straight to the site it's all a mess.

I guess it's time to study html and wordpress very well.I don't think I can delay it any further

It seems to look ok for some people but others see the trouble I'm talking about.Thanks about the site.It's my first one so it's getting extra care I feel like this is something that I can expand. I am completely lost at how to fix this.I'm thinking about sending someone the html for this so it can be fixed.And then start learning some basic html myself!
