What File Storage Device Do You Use?

I've been downloading without a seatbelt this month .......... :rolleyes:

and now I need a file storage solution. I'd prefer an external one.

For those of you that already use one, what would you recommend,
please?

Your tips and suggestions are always welcome.

    Avoid Lacie drives at all costs, bought 2 of them and they both developed the same problem (clicking)... Nice!

    I actually should have listened to the guy at the Apple store who was telling me other customers had reported problems with them. But they looked so cool!

    I've had a look at Best Buy's and Future Shop sites.

    The customer reviews are few.

    I'll be heading out to Future Shop this aft
    to have a look at what they offer.

      I use a little 500MB Buffalo "Bumper Body". It's travelled with me around the world and still works 100%. Love it.

        I tried Carbonite back up, but due to the limited speed of my Internet connection, it proved not to be a viable proposition for me.

        I currently use a Maxtor and three Western Digital external drives (two portable). My off site backups are kept on two sites using DVDs - this however, is slow and inconvenient - so if anyone has suggestions of a better off site solution, I am all ears.
