I put a 20 foot inflatable gorilla on the roof of my office.

Now guerilla marketing, that's another story.

  Yes, but that only works if you're marketing to gorillas, an admittedly small market, although I suppose they do eat a lot.

I've taken copies of my physical book into book stores and left them on the shelves so others can buy. I've also gone in and placed my books the store did stock and leave them with the full cover out where folks can see them instead of just the spine.

I've gone to seminars/conferences and left brochures out where folks can read them between sessions - and maybe a few in the stalls in the rest rooms - hey, we all gotta go sometime ;-)

I have one in the local town centre... he does morning, noon and evenings with a sign board on his front and back...

If gentle doesn't work to get them in the door...

Rufus (my 500lb Gorilla) chases them into Ye Olde Shoppe with his teeth baring

1) If you deal with a local market, leave business cards in books that you think your market will read

2) Send a big envelops with multiple stamps

3) Send a sales letter with money attached to it.

4) Tatoos

5) Create a calendar with your customer testimonials and then give them away.

6) Sponsor charitable events

7) (or 6a) Create your own charitable event (blood bank?)

8) Hold an interesting referral contest

9) Give more than your money back guarantee

10) Inviting a large number of clients together for food.
