Clean up funky formatting

I just received a batch of articles that I'd outsourced. The writer created the documents in Word, which can and did produce formatting issues. Even after I pasted into Notebook, I was still left with a bunch of funky stuff: 2 returns after each paragraph, tabs indenting the first line of each paragraph, odd line breaks all over the place, etc. And this writer didn't commit this particular "sin," but many still insert 2 periods at the end of sentences.

Then I remembered this nifty little program called Text Cleanup that I've had for 10 years or so. Don't ask why I forgot about it. I'm the queen of spacing out, is all I can say.

I opened it, pasted the article, clicked "clean," and wham zappo...it was all fixed! So just thought I'd share.

Some of the stuff it can do:
- Remove unwanted line breaks
- Correct common spelling mistakes
- Remove e-mail reply marks
- Remove extra spacing at the beginning of lines
- Remove extra spaces in between words
- Clean up spacing in between sentences
- Clean up capitalization of words
- Perform multiple, simultaneous, find and replace
- Perform tab/space replacement

I don't remember what I paid way back when, but now it's 24.95 (and there's a 30-day free trial, so you can download and check it out). IMO, worth every penny. I'd pay even if it was 24.96
