What's your Biggest MLM/Network Marketing Problem?

Hi Warrior's

Hope your all good... I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong part of the forum... I wasn't sure if it fit in here or not... It is about making money in a round about way so that's my justification for putting it here

Anyways... it seems a lot of warriors are involved in a MLM, Affiliate Marketing or Network Marketing program of some sort.

So I was just wondering what your biggest issue/problem/challenge is when you started out in this industry.

I guess for me it was finding and attracting quality leads instead of those people that just sign up thinking they know what they are doing and then expect you to do all the work so they can become financially free and live the dream.

I'm sure there are loads of other areas people have challenges, problems or issues with... Would really like your feedback

Thanks
Nigel

I'm not part of any MLM or network marketing now but have been in the past. For me I was never successful because I HATED the work I had to do and the system I had to follow to get people into the business was really flawed. I've now found much different ways to market to people and if I ever joined an MLM again would use those online techniques and would never be forced to talk to friends, family, random unqualified strangers again. I'd go after quality targeted leads. So for me, the biggest problem was obviously recruiting since I HATED it and honestly never really believed in what I was supposed to be doing. Just being real honest!

Thanks for your post Jenn, yeah I guess most people want to keep this sort of thing away from their family and friends, quality leads are the trick for sure. So that's 2 votes for leads then! anyone else got something to add?

Besides having an Internet Marketing Company for Retail Business, I am part of Wealth Masters that is a Direct Sales/Network Marketing Company. Been with them since 2007.

My main problem is to find other serious like minded entrepreneurs. Too many people looking to make a quick buck and not willing to work hard.

2009 was good and 2010 will be better because more professionals and business men/women are looking to start an online business.

The biggest issue with MLM is that when you find the ones that aren't scams, all your potential downliners still THINK they're scams, and all your fellow network members are TREATING them like scams.

And then you realise it's just not worth it. There are good MLM networks out there, with good products, and good setups, and they'd be good business... if only people would believe such a thing, and if only it weren't for all the scum who use unethical tactics because "it's already a scam anyway." But you can't fix that.

    Affilite Marketing is great!!
MLM is a different story, I used to be a part of it and my biggest problem was that I recruited a lot of people(a lot) and then nobody on my team did anything. I used to do those motivational meetings and they were so happy and motivated but they did not do anything again. I love the idea of having a residual income....

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed Is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying.

I'm not presently involved in MLM but has been and have
also written salescopy for some heavy hitters. The
"trick" is to provide a marketing SYSTEM for your down-line
and teach them how to use it. I don't know of any better
way to be successful in this business.

If you can say take this website, and these ads and
this autoresponder series and plug them into your
business then there is less guess work and more
    success.

    Hey Warrior's

This is great! Exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for... the feeling I'm getting from the above is that there is not only a lead sourcing problem ie finding and contacting the right people, like other REAL entrepreneurs rather than those flash in the pan leads we all hate. But also the stigma that MLM is seen as mostly a scam run by people trying to make a quick buck, rather than those trying to build a business that is providing a residual income.

Really interesting stuff... and I'm really thankful that you guys are giving your feedback. I'm hoping to try and research these answers and come up with something that will hopefully help me in my business and other's who are interested to build bigger better business's and I'm aware that at this point most of you are thinking 'oh God not another one!' LOL but hey what can I say I wanna give it a shot.

The more comments the better :0)

Of course I'm keen on talking to those who have great input on this subject to perhaps partner up on a possible project too.

MLM/Network marketing and Affiliate Marketing is two different things. Many MLM'ers get stuck with buying the products themselves and cannot sell the stock the MLM company require them to buy every month. They are, as so many others, blind and only see all the $$$'s the top 3% make, not all the loss the 97% of all MLM'ers make.

When it comes to Affiliate Marketing the challenge is to find a good product with support from the producer, in forms of email templates, web site templates, testimonials etc. without the market being saturated already.
