Finding where you rank on google

I am wondering if there is any free software where I can check where I am ranking on google for certain keywords.

hmm.. i think everyone misunderstood what he is trying to look for..
the tools mentioned are for checking page rank for a site but not ranking for specify keywords for your site in the search engines.
check these tools out.. great to check on where your site rank on the keywords you are targeting and also on your competitor! so you just need to improve on these keywords and outrank them. can check your keyword ranking for your site on google,yahoo and msn.

I think people who posted actually did post the right stuff...

I know this site here: SERPS or so does exactly what the link you posted does except your resource has to be downloaded first which to my mind is unncessary unless you want to enjoy some extra benefits like downloading CSV reports etc.

Otherwise the online version I linked to from someone's suggestion in this thread is just as good I believe.

Anyway unless I am gravely missing something it looks like the right resources were posted.

It's a wording issue.

The OP wanted to know his search engine position for his keywords, unaware that the word ranking is also applied to the Page Rank (PR) of a page.

Easy confusion to make. But, on the bright side, we've all benefitted from some great links!

yes you can actually,theres a website called GoogleRankings(dot)com
It actually gives you placement information on Google aswell as Yahoo,msn and Ask.
but i think think you need a valid Google Api Key to do so.

Good to see someone else noticed this.

I started to notice that most of the times this subscribed thread had new posts, the poster was tukarinfobispak.

I was in the process of finding someone to ask if this behavior should be reported or not. I even started taking snapshots of the thread to document what happened.

I was not quite sure if I should point out in public what happened. Perhaps more people would start doing the same.

After having been away from the Subscribed Threads view for a few days, I was almost surprised when I found today that there was someone new having made the last post.
