Default How to do an interview?

Hi,

I've done a couple of interviews, one that will become a product
in a niche I'm working on and one that I did for another marketer
which became one of her products.

The interview I conducted was done using a Skype+Pamela
combination. I think it turned out pretty good. The interviewee
was on the other end of the Skype connection and Pamela
Pamela for Skype - Call Recording and a lot more! (not an affiliate link)
managed the recording.

I think it turned out pretty decently. I then used Audacity to
add a little music to the front and back.

The gal who interviewed me did it with a hand-held recorder.
I should have asked the brand/model, but neglected to do it.

So a question is this: does anyone have experience with both
methods and is one way significantly better than the other?
And why?

Regards,
Bal
