|  Movie site is illegal
Several days ago i decided to build my first movie site. But the problem is does it legal to build movie streaming site that show about tv show.i have asked in YA but its not solve my problem. Some said that it is illegal, but some say it is legal since you dont host the videos, you just point to them. SO is it illegal? |

Well, let's see... All the content will be copyrighted. It cost real money to produce those shows. They sell those shows to cover the production costs and make a profit. So the question is "How much are you paying to license the programs?" If the answer is "Nothing", then your are not going about it legally. If you are licensing the programs then your contract will spell out what you can and cannot do regarding the programming. I don't see a lot of gray area here... KJ |

Where most of these kinds of sites get in trouble is they don't have the requisite permission to do so. Now you run afoul of copyright law, and it can get expensive real fast. Contact a copyright lawyer, do it right, and you're good to go.  | |
