I use the wonder wheel for content ideas. I've used Google Suggest before too. It's great for coming up with "buyer phrases" but requires more research to verify if there are enough searches to be worth pursuing. I've never used the free tool they offer but I downloaded it to give it a try. Looks like it could be handy.

everyone is trying to rank in Google, so my suggestion use Google's keyword tool its free and its Google. Start with your domain under the website search tab and let Google tell you what to target. If you don't have a website yet then use your competitors site from a top "keyword" in Google.

  • There are free keyword research tools such as google keyword tool and there are those who extends their functionality such as Micro Niche Finder. I personally liked this tool because it simplifies everything which saves you time in the end.

I use Market Samurai: even the "expired" version's a winner. It (not surprisingly) interfaces with Google, anyway.

Thanks for the heads up on this software. I'm using it and apart from how many are searching for each keyword suggested, it's simple to use and great for a certain website building script I use.
