Driving traffic to your site is often the one area that many people lack in, so I just wanted to get what methods poeple find to be the most effective in driving traffic. So if you could choose just one marketing method to build up your sites ranking and drive traffic to your site, what would you choose? |

Hardcore SEO allows you to rank for any keyword you want provided you work hard on it. It is also a 2 page process for affiliates, 1 page for owners. People go to Google, type in the search term they are interested in finding out about and BAM there is your site or affiliate landing page. Article marketing also generates targeted traffic and you can generate a lot of it, however it is a 3 page process for affiliates and a 2 page process for owners. If you are promoting an affiliate program, the visitor has to go to Google, type in the search term, go to the article, go to the landing page then the merchant's page. Some visitors will get lost in the process or simply just leave. Same for owners of a website, except visitor don't have to go through the affiliate landing page. I used to like PPC, but there have been so many changes lately that I don't know if the ROI is worth it anymore. Might as well spend that PPC money in outsourcing SEO and Article Marketing campaigns. | |

Product creation. Ok, you do need some of the other methods to get things rolling, but this way you make affiliate marketers do all the hard work for you. |

So you're recommending creating a product and then putting it out there for affiliates to promote? Good thinking |

Article Marketing is what I generally use, I probably don't do enough of it though, I need to keep it up long enough to make it really work

Choosing just one method to advertise would never be a wise decision because I'd never want to put all my eggs in one basket. However, if I had to choose I would pick article marketing on Ezine Articles. |

Probably Pay-Per Click because of the speed with which you can see results.

My method would definitely be this... (PAY ATTENTION) HIRING Yes, I would hire 5 people who would work as a team from their homes and make them my partner in success at 10% each. I would take the remaining 50%. In fact that is what I am doing right now... although the percentages are a little different this time. These would be their respective tasks (After training) 1. Article Marketing 2. Video Marketing 3. Social Marketing and Web 2.0 4. PPC 5. Media Buys And then they would take care of the traffic. Ofcourse there would affiliates and JV partnerships too... but these are not really long term. I could relax and focus on my next product and its conversions. What say? IMO... if you want free food for decades to come, hire more people.. and grow the num,ber of hours you have in a day. -Lakshay P.S. Hiring is not a traffic method... but who cares as long as there are specialists who can work for you? |

My favourite and most effective marketing method has always been word of mouth marketing - so that would be my number 1 choice for sure.
