Being "indexed" and being "ranked in the 1st few pages" are two different stories.

Your site IS "Indexed", just search site:tentcanopy.org in Google and you will see there is 1 page indexed.

As far as finding it in the search results for your keyword, that really depends on a lot of other factors, like competition, backlinks and Google's secret sauce.

Interesting... the root domain only is showing up. site:tentcanopy*com returns 1 result. But NOT when you type site:www*tentcanopy*com.

Is this deliberate? I don't want to send this thread off on a tangent, but you should at least be consistent with how you submit your URL to index directories, RSS aggregators, Social Bookmarking sites, etc.

To WWW or Not to WWW? That is the question (and the crux of your problem, I believe).

If you're signed up with Google's Webmaster Tools, you can set your sub-domain preferences with them. Also, I would highly recommend that you create & upload an XML sitemap to Big G. Here's the WP plugin that I use:

Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress

Add a few more pages to give your site some credibility and internal link juice. The Big G wants to see more than 1 or 2 pages on a domain.

        Hope that helps.

Anyways use the keyword "tent canopy" in your title, it will benefit you much more. Yes your site is indexed > go to seobook.com and download their free rank checking tool to see what position you are in, your not in yahoo and it will be awhile before google gives you any credit.

Are you sure i`m fully indexed ?? It really should be in the top twenty search results i`ve been at this long enough and built 30+ sites so i know what i`m doing as far as indexing sites but of course i`m still way behind most of you guys and because of this i cannot see where the problem is but i do know somethings not right

According to who? It could be 80, 224, 791, or wherever Google wants to place you based on a lot of different factors -- not just keyword-exact domain.

JimKirk... with all due respect, your site IS indexed. Many of us here have taken time to confirm this. Case closed.

Regarding your SERPs ~ that is a separate issue entirely. There are many, many reasons why you might not be ranking where you expect.

But nobody on this forum has any power to change that. If you've built 30+ sites before as you say, then you already know that climbing up the Search Engine Results Pages can take days, weeks, and months.

Big G doesn't care if you think should be in the top 20. So just relax, and go do some backlinking or something. Sheesh.

That's what I see on both Market Samurai and a manual search, different data center perhaps. Hopefully your rankings will improve when you fix the description and finish the site.
