How to know what JV Notify Pro products to promote WITHOUT a list?

hi guys

So as a beginner, I've been learning a lot of different things about the affiliate marketing world.

One thing I learned that an affiliate can potentially make a lot of commission promotion products from JV Notify Pro.

However, I found that this is more beneficial for affiliates with email lists, since most of these JV products are unknown and thereby being recommended to an affiliates list.

So can an affiliate with no list still make commissions too?

Basically, I'm wondering how does a no-list affiliate pick out a JV product in hope that people search for it or it's related keywords?

I've been told people have an instinct for picking the right JV product to promote, or hear a lot of buzz around the product.

Thanks all

An affiliate with no list can definitely still make commissions. Happens all the time with Clickbank products as well as a few products that you see featured on JVNP.

There are a lot of smaller sized launches that get featured on JVNP, so you won't have much luck without a list with those. You'll want to pick out the bigger launches, the ones run by big names and/or supported by big names.

These bigger launches obviously get more traffic because of the people and the number of people involved. The product owner will create a lot of buzz with their pre-launch stuff and that will cause people to talk about it on forums, blog about it, and create bonus offers. This stuff doesn't happen for smaller launches, so you should avoid those unless you have a list.

For example, the Affiliate Millionaire launch that's happening tomorrow might have been a good launch to participate in. It's Andrew Fox's product and it's being supported by a ton of gurus. It's also a high ticket product I think, so that's good for JVs. The only problems would be that, 1) you'd have a lot of competition in the search engines, and 2) as a beginner, you'd probably have trouble creating a good enough bonus to complement the product.

It's tough without a list, especially when you're just starting out. But even if you bomb the first few tries, you'll eventually understand how to pick the right launches and how to make money from them without a list.

      Spot on response!

Just another comment, try to explore other niche product launch as well. Don't limit yourself solely to the internet marketing niche.

Although IM seems to be one of the most active niches with consistent product launches there are also other niches like fitness around the New Year especially.

I think you can get great information about the product from using tools like quantcast to check out the sites traffic and demographics. As well you can look up previous work from the same IMer launching and see if you can find an edge or maybe some web 2.0 properties to comment on to drive traffic to your page. That will also help you decide if it is a good product to promote or if you should stay away. I think that it is important to have a list but there are lots of ways to make commissions without it. For example pick a domain close to the product name or make an affiliate review site. You can use ppc to drive traffic or use some SEO to get your page high up in the SERPS and get commissions that way. I used that same method with Maverick Money Makers for months when it first launched and then got un motivated when so many affiliates were promoting it so I moved on but I made a couple solid weeks of commissions from that simple idea. ( SEO btw not paid traffic)

Yes, absolutely. I rarely promote products from JVnotifypro but some of those that I have promoted I've managed to get onto the jv sales leaderboard WITHOUT a list. It's always nice to see your name in the top 10 or 20 above affiliates with lists of thousands of subscribers.

Basically, I'm wondering how does a no-list affiliate pick out a JV product in hope that people search for it or it's related keywords?
There are only 2 keywords you really need to rank for and those are 'product name review' and 'product name bonus'. Keyword research doesn't apply when it comes to a brand new product. If you can rank on page 1 of Google (and take as many spots on page 1 as possible) then you WILL get traffic - it's then up to you to presell them properly. When marketers promote a product to their list, many subscribers will then do a search on Google to find the best bonus, and hopefully you will be in the right position with an amazing bonus that compliments the product.

When looking for a product on jvnotifypro I either look for a product from a marketer who is well known & has done successful launches in the past, or one who has alot of big name marketers 'on board' to promote. They'll get the word out by emailing their lists and that will drive a ton of traffic to the search engines looking for reviews and bonuses. I normally use a wordpress blog as my main 'money page' and then I use web 2.0 sites to link to that blog (many of these can rank well in the search engines too).

I actually made page 1 on google last october for "product name review" and "product name bonus" though unfortunately the product I picked I guess didn't have enough buzz or its creators weren't well known enough, as my traffic was very very low.

at least the techniques I used worked

Is there a thread that lists "big name marketers" ??

I am responding to an older post. You mentioned that you build wordpress blogs/sites and I am interested to know if you are still doing this and how I may contact you for work.

I agree to Hamida, if you can rank your website for "product name review" you can start making sales.

I created a free blog for one product and I got 30 sales within a week, although 30 is less but it's good to start.

You can create a review site to promote from JVnotifypro. Also you can syndicate your content to many blogs with social or video marketing.

If you're good at ranking sites really fast you don't even need a list. You basically create affiliate review sites and offer your visitors a bonus if they buy through your link. It's an effective strategy but it ain't free because you're always having to buy domains and things like that.
