SpamAssassins SURBL blocklist rules...
1. With SpamAssassins SURBL blocklist rules....doesnt this make it too easy to screw your competition over? ie. spam a few million people with your competitors URL within a spam email and this URL will be added to the blocklist of SpamAssassin databases around the world...meaning when ever competitors send email in future containing their URL to their clients, it will not make it to half of them.
No I am not planning to implement this evil ploy, I just want to know if my assumptions are correct.
2. Does SpamAssassin add a URL to its local blocklist purely because it arrived in an email that was flagged as spam? or is SpamAssassin intelligent enough to follow the URL and analyze the HTML to determine whether it is a spammy squeeze page and make the decision this way? (the 2 blocklists I am talking about are WS and SC SURBL blocklists)
