How you would rate this forum?

Imagine you are a first timers here and seeking for help.

Would the response you get go a long way in solving your problem?

I was participating in a certain forum when a newbie post a question on how to start internet marketing. Most of the responses i saw where actually referring this fellow to WF while others are saying WF is full of hype.

If am to first rate, i would say, you are sure of getting a timely response.

The rest over to your guys.

Cheers,

John Benjamin

I think that this is a good place for newcomers to learn about internet marketing in the main. On occasion I see some members getting a bit snotty with questions that newcomers ask, but they are in the minority. Mostly newcomers get a lot of help and advice although it can be conflicting!

I remember when I first posted here, completely new to IM barely even knew what it was....I got a lot of this

I began to ask a lot of questions and was able to see that these type of people that gave mean responses were the minority around here. I also started using the search function before asking questions...you could tell it made a HUGE difference in how people respond

I would say my initial impression I gave the WF 5/10 stars...when I learned to just block out the few BSers I can give it 10/10 stars, with a bonus of 3 smiley faces() for the private forum and a cool guy() because I tell myself I'm cool:rolleyes:

Patricia you kind of right, the advice most new member receive can be very conflicting. A lot of people pretend to be professionals why while they are not, all for selfish interest.

So how would you rate this forum.

Conflicting opinions can be good because you get different viewpoints and they also make you think more about what you are doing.

Pretending to be professionals mmm I think that some have read or been given bad advice elsewhere and wanting to be seen to be helpful, and especially if they are new to the forum pass on that bad advice.

However as we are running businesses it does no harm pretending to be professional to others providing we have the right info and can carry it off. When others begin to see us as professionals we become professionals.

I would rate this forum 9/10 (nothing is perfect) For the masses of useful information to be found in the main forums, too much sometimes it keeps me away from my work. Also for the helpfulness and generosity of the majority of the members here. I only knock a point off because of the snottiness I mentioned earlier but that really is the minority.

Well, this is a great forum, especially for beginners. There are a lot of useful information here, but most people won't really tell you how to make money for free, you have to pay for that. One thing I hate: most WSOs promise like $1000 or 10000 unique visitors per day while it's not true and they write it just to advertise.

That sounds strange from a War Room member... or you didn't look in the right place. Did you check out the My Ideas, Strategies & Plans subforum there?
      + some older threads

Use your common sense: if it's too good to be true... don't buy it.

Oh I rate this place a 10 out of 10. It simply is the best forum in the world to learn about internet marketing. I get responses the same day I place a question. Doesn't matter if its another Warrior or the Help Desk people, and I get the correct answer to my question. The best thing that has happen to me in Internet Marketing in a long time was to join this place.

Is this a serious question? 10/10 of course!!! I can't think of another place where there is the same amount of information and the same congenial atmosphere.

There is the occasional w***ker who comes along but, really one in a thousand. Hardly worth mentioning.

No, really, 10/10! I love it!

I like this forum. I just started trying, and I'm still trying, to break into the work at home via internet world. Initially I purchased a $300+ work from home bogus program and learned very quickly that I should have just researched more. I didn't know about the forum before I bought the crappy program but I wish I had.

Any forum is going to be accessed by people looking to promote their business for links or whatever, but I don't think that is the majority.

The crappy work at home program I purchased actually did one thing right, it directed me toward this forum. It told me to go here to advertise by posting replies here and there to busy threads. (pretty much what true forum devotes complain about) I didn't take the programs advice by spamming the threads. I did join and pay war room pricing to get more information though. I also like to add my opinion here and there when I can help. I'm pretty new though.

The forum is great. 9 out of 10.

I just wish more people would use the search facility and get off their asses and do some research before posting stupid threads which clog up the forum. Don't be lazy.

Because of this, the many gems that exist, can be hard to find in all the mud.

Do yourself and everyone else a favour, carry out a little searching before you start another "duplicate" thread.

There wouldn't be much of a forum left if everyone searched for information that has already been asked.

Many of us here go back to the beginning in 97' and most of what people are asking today has been answered about 3000 times.

Sometimes what clogs up the threads is when people jump into a thread with the sole intention of telling other people that they should search the forum and not clog up the threads.

If someone can read the thread title and see that it is something that has already been asked and feel that we shouldn't put a strain on the system then why jump into the thread and keep it going?

Especially by posting one liners like "search the forum" or "use the search" and even "here let me Google that for you".

If you can read the "stupid" title then keep on moving. Why stop and jump in and contribute to the stupidity? Let the "stupid" stuff die on it's own.

I would say that 60% of what I learned I actually learned from the Warrior Forum. This really is a great place to learn Internet Marketing.

I would rate the WF a 10/10. I hope I am at least a notch or two above newbie :-) and I find rare nuggets here all the time .

The question is ... do you expect more out of the forum than what you are willing to work for ?

Will you use common sense or will you fall for the hype that is present everywhere online ?

When presented with conflicting advice , do you listen to the Warrior spouting opinion or the Warrior that has tested and has the battle scars to stand behind what they say ?

Although I do not recommend this being your only income source , the WF could easily provide a full time income if you learn who to listen to. This doesn't always mean the highest post count , although I do feel someone who has taken their time to post that much does deserve respect .

Just remember ... the fool that tells you to piss on the fence the second time , and it won't hurt , is not the fool that pissed on the fence the second time .

Your decisions and only your decisions will effect your business .

Well, as it happens, I AM new here, and fairly new to IM. The most i know is terminology and theory. As for the WF, so far I've found alot of good info. People seem very ready to help and share advice, so long as your question isn't something that would of had an answer readily available through the "search" button.

So far, I'll give it a 7/10. I'll be in the War room in a few weeks, so if what I hear about the War room is correct, it'll go to 10/10.

    Cheers!

This forum has also helped me a lot too. Other than that, what i realize is if you really want to make money online, you just have to take action, after learning and studying, and experiencing and a lot of research and experiencing information overload for a time, i've learned that only you can help yourself, those who are making a lot of money will not tell you the real secrets of their business therefore you just have to figure out what works best for you and scale it up.

However, there are ones who are really sincere here with helping newbies and their stuff really works - if you, of course take action, it will work then thinking outside the box and do some twist. So I would give this forum an 8/10.

    10/10
sure there is conflicting info here. That is the nature of the beast. What is true in one niche or one day may change for anther niche and another day.

Myself, I am a newbie (and somewhat 'impaired' physically), but that doesn't mean I am stupid. It also doesn't mean I am 'right' 100% of the time. I suspect those that have been here or in IM are equally mis-guided some of the time. I am disagreed with on several fronts, I see long time IMers also disagreed with by other longtime IMers, both successful!)

Like healthcare or personal finances, you have the ultimate responsibility to decide what is right for you and what works for you (did I hear someone say test?).
The biggest difference here than other places I have gone?:

    Ethics.

Most successful IMers here have an innate bent toward trying to market without 'un-due hype'... meaning without misleading, without using technology in an underhanded way, (which is very easy to do). To be willing to work/develop a relationship with clients/deliver quality content (even if it is sometimes of questionable accuracy) in order to put food on the table and drive that Ferrari!

The 2nd biggest difference I see is the willingness of actual gurus (meaning those that practice what they preach and are successful to whatever degree) to continue to answer the same question over and over when it is asked 3000 times (many times several times with-in minutes) without belittling the OP, (too much).

That 10/10 doesn't include the war room. That is bonus

I will try to be objective and will say around 8/10.

Why I did not give 10:
    1) Doesn't cover all areas, meaning, it's pure white hat.
    2) More control should be introduced for the WSO section. Just too much recycled material there.
    3) No software section (downloads, etc...)

All in all I like this forum, but I won't say that this is the only forum I need for my online business. The good thing I found about this forum is that there are relatively low amount of scammers, most people are honest folk.
