Does Submitting Articles To Sub Directories Do Anything?

I'm really trying to make article marketing click for me. Unfortunately, I've had many obstacles show up when it comes to getting outsourced articles, but I've managed to get 17 sub-par articles (Subpar in my opinion) on EZA.

I have, of course, heard about submitting my articles to those "700 article directories".

So I have one question. Does submitting your article to those 'other' directories really have any noticeable effect on your traffic.

I have been thinking about purchasing yet another product to do this submitting, but is it worth the investment? I can pay for it no problem, but will it actually have an effect on my traffic?

    Hi,

Before you do anything, if you havent already read this thread, do so, asap -

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

This thread is worth so much value it's incredible... I warn you though, it will take a couple of hours at least to go through it and make your notes

I personally post an article to my site first... then I re-write it and post to Ezine articles, article base, Buzzle and Go Articles... But, you do what works for you. The way to find out is to test test test.

I've not done mass article submissions to the "sub-directories", so I can't say much on that point.

But I hope the rest helps.

    Thanks

Don't bother doing that until you've focused on getting 150 articles or more up on EZA. Take a look at the number of articles in you niche on EZA and check out the top 10 authors in your category. Be sure to pick keywords that are not too competitive but not abysmal in terms of numbers.

Are you in the top 10 yet? If not, get there first before you start jumping into mass submission. Shoot for the top spot in your category. You'll see results in volume as well as quality. Keep your articles around 400 words and drop the conclusion of the article in the resource box along with your keywords and links. This is a good start.

    article dashboard
    article ally
    article base
    article circle
    article snatch
    go articles
    article biz
    articlecity

I have used mass submission tools in the past to submit to the "hundreds" of article directories out there but I think the chances of search engines or quality traffic finding your article in amongst the hundreds of thousands of other auto-submitted articles is slim. I haven't seen Google indexing the backlinks from these either in a lasting way.

This is just my experience but I would stick to the top 10 or so in the list above.
I agree your are best to choose about 10 top sites and the concentrate on those.

I often get Articles ranking well above EZA from Go articles, Article Snatch, Article Dashboard and alike.

Its not even necessarily the number of articles you write, its more to do with the Niche you are in and how to hit the right combination of keywords.

Type => Article Marketing Mastermind <= into a Google search to see what I mean...>EZA does rank top for this series however...bad example?

Ezine always works for me. I find I get indexed at page 2 as soon as the article is approved. I've started to rewrite and submit to a four other directories that have a high PR.

Auto submit tools are OK, best to check all the directories out though. many can be what is considered by some as 'bad neighborhoods'. Remove those from the list and your efforts will be more effective.
Or you can use Article Productions which avoids bad neighborhoods to begin with as well as the directories mentioned above.
