Why either one or the other?

Hint: Build both and link them

I agree, build squidoo, a blog and hubpages link them all together with anchor text and also link to your ezine articles through them.

Yes, I agree with John, use both.

A WordPress blog for example would be better for conversion because the only outbound links are yours.

As for Squidoo, it's easier to get traffic to a Squidoo lens than a new blog so use your lenz as a traffic generator and link to your WP blog.

I agree: do both, but I'd focus on your own hosted wp blog: you're building up you own capital

I have a couple of squids (aviation related). Possibly because of the vertical nature of this market, not too much activity.

Good lenses! I starred 'em for you. Substantial content, well written, appropriate pictures.

You might consider getting rid of the "explore related pages" section (the discovery tool, it's called when you're editing) - it tends to encourage your viewers to wander off elsewhere before they get far into your lens.

Begin to build your blog and as you have content building up as a base then start to make some squidoos lenses and link everything up together. Your blog should be #1 priority though as it is your own content base.

Kevin, thanx so much for that advice about the "explore" thing. I've always hated that - it breaks your lens up really badly. I never knew I could control it. You, sir, are a true champ. And you live in a beautiful part of the planet, too!
