Onlywire Firefox plugin looks dead

Hi fellow warriors.

This is the problem: it is three days that my beloved Onlywire button on Firefox looks dead.

I have liek 76 unprocessed items in pending work queue and I've got no clues, it's not moving from that number.
The button doesnt want to change color and start working..

Tried to sign in/out hundreds times, open different pages, the "my submission page", etc., but nothing.

Can somebody help me?

Thank you.

I used mine last night with no problems. Try uninstalling it and then re-installing. You might also try upgrading your FF to the latest version if you aren't using it already.

    Thank you Zeus.

I've already tried both, no success at all. FF is updated and I re-installed the plugin few times.

I'm having the exact same problem, started a couple of days ago.

About half of the submissions go through, but the ones that require the Browser plugin are perpetually at the "Pending Submission state" with no option to try them again or cancel or anything.

      Bummer.

I've been having the same problem for a few weeks. It's almost to the point that I've stopped using it. Has anyone tried the Onlywire plugin?

I use it regularly. It's been working fine for me.

However, I'm still using FF 3.0.18, so that may be the reason.

For those still in need: here's a trick, hope will work for you too!

    Step by step instructions:

    1- Start Firefox
2- Go to OW website (sign in / sign out from the plugin)
    3- Log out from OW
    4- Close Firefox
    5- Start Firefox
6- Go to OW website (sign in / sign out from the plugin)
    7- Log In
8- Start another Firefox (the plugin on this last Firefox window should work!)

You'll have to get the latest Onlywire plugin, I think it's 1.7 and then open Firefox and goto submissions page. The button will then flash indicate it's working, and if you refresh your browser you'll see the working queue left to do numbers start going down.

It's not the greatest for someone with like 20 OnlyWire accts, but it appears to be the new direction for their service. Not sure if the paid for services will also require this or not.

        But overall .. Not good

It does seem to be taking longer and there are several services that just never work for me- facebook, tumblr, linkaGoGo. Also I don't get any response from their help service which rattles me.

Presumably if they have offloaded submissions to the plugin then it means those submissions are coming from my IP rather from only wire. This would be an advantage if you only have one account but with multiple accounts ... bit tricky.

Yeah, mine has been tempremental with 60 in queue. When they do go through it will only be one or two at a time and I am on the professional edition. Definitely will not be keeping this subscription unless there are some radical changes!

      Had this problem too.

I was using the free version and was going to upgrade to the paid version untill it started "playing up".

      Now looking for an alternative.

Very good when it was working, I was really hoping that it would continue as it is brilliant for bookmarking fast and effeciently.

If I can see it working for any lenght of time I will definately subscribe.

Quite gutted it failed at the moment for me.

You guys might want to check the actual sites they're submitting too.

I have just checked a number, and no bookmarks have been submitted for months... even though it says 'success' in the submissions que.

Guys i have some occasional back logs with only wire but eventually i find them submitting them sooner or later. If you have say 75 pending submissions, they will get reduced to 3 or 5 or even less in a few days.
I now don't bother if the back log increases, I simply keep adding posts and let only wire take its sweet time to clear the back logs.

About the comment that certain posts are not getting submitted even after success confirmation from only wire, I think that is something really worrisome.

I guess i will have to track this out for my posts.

Has anyone solved this problem yet?

I've tried re-installing the plugin to the latest version/updated firefox to the latest version.

        Still having problems.

I no longer get the success/fail listing like I was getting before.

Is onlywire a dead service now?

Contact them. Though I do know that they've been having a fair share of problems as of late.

I've already spent about an hour working with them to get it fixed.

Their reply was ultimately 'get a different computer'

I've just used it to clear 122 items but it's started playing up and I've still got 100 in the queue. I've found that it works for a while then quits. To be honest I was doing better when I manually bookmarked to a few sites and have been thinking of going back to that.

Does it look like this when you login to your history:

Or does it look like this:

The last time I was able to get it to list my submissions like that was in feb. Now it doesnt even give me the option to finalize, let alone a status update of each submission....
