Paypal Payment Issue - Need Your Thoughts...

G'morning everybody....

I received an email from a client who had attempted to make a purchase and process their payment via Paypal. The client stated that the "payment company would not accept his mailing address."

I checked Paypal - again - for any settings I might inadvertently let slip, and didn't see anything.

BTW, this is a virtual product that is downloaded after processing the payment, so for this transaction, shipping addresses are not important.

Any Paypal experts got an idea about this??

I guess it will depend on where Your customer is situated. This is not just a Paypal thing but a usual fraud protection on most payment gateways.

So if they were entering a Credit Card but they put in an address that is not associated with the card they may get this error. If they were in another country it can also create this as their CC and IP are too far out of sink and so on.

This is why it is always good to have your own merchant account as a back up to overcome this.
