Value in Many Small External Links
We all know that one external link from a high page rank site, especially in a relevant area, can boost your SE page ranking. I have read many times here and elsewhere that an external link from a PR0 or low ranking site has no benefit. And that leads to my quesiton:
What if you have dozens of external links, again in your niche, from PR0 sites? If I were running the world, it would be considered valuable in SE page ranking if you had 50 regular joe's linking to your site. I'm asking because that's the case for my site: when I look at backlinks, I've got a lot of regular Joe's bookmarking my site and yet I struggle for page ranking.
Again, my question is this: has anyone ever built up their SE page ranking by building up many backlinks through PRO-type sites? Is that even possible?
You can guess where I'm headed: could a blog commenting campaign to many low ranking sites help one's page ranking, especially if your site is PR0?
