So I'm starting a service in which the very broad idea is to help guys be more romantic. Keep their girls in mind more often. It's a monthly membership and I'll save you time by not going into all the details.

So I was thinking of the angle and the pitch person I'm going to choose for it.

I had 2 options:

1. A hot girl, aged around 30.
Sex sells and the pitch would be "I've dated so much and guys just aren't that good at being romantic so I created this site....."

Con: Guys may think "Great, another girl trying to get more money from me"

2. An average looking guy, aged around 30.
The pitch is, "Guys, I started using this myself and had awesome results so my buddies asked me to create something for them...."

Thoughts?

The average user will be a 30-45 year old male.

    Here's a twist for you...

Use both. Portray a happy dating couple.

That way, you could even use multiple perspectives for content.

Man: Guys, if you want to get and keep a babe like this, here's how I do it...

Woman: Guys, if you want to keep your woman happy, here's what my guy does and I'm sticking to him like glue...

You could even add an email service where women could anonymously recommend the site to their own guys.

    Whatcha think?

    I like John McCabe's idea.

    Whenever entering a highly
    competitive market you need to
    do something to stand out.

Hot chick going to stand out?

    Average dude who became super
chick magnet going to stand out?

    We've heard those stories.

    Answer: No.

    Nothing unique to offer doesn't
    position you well and nobody
    likely believes it anyway.

I mean what if the hot chick
was big sister to the younger
    brother always hitting on her
    girlfriends? And getting dates
    with them to her dismay?

    This is mostly fantasy world
stuff so I'd go deeper into the
    fantasy some segment of the
    market is having -

You've got to come up with a
unique story. Even if it comes
across as total BS, at least it's
    interesting which is an important
part of the AIDA formula last
    time I checked. ;-)

All good stuff! I like the idea of using both. It's amazing the things that you don't even think about even though you think you've covered it all. haha

    Thanks folks.

This isn't how to get more dates btw. It's how to be more romantic to the girl you're already dating or are married to.

    Thanks again!
