Need advice about Facebook fan pages

Hi guys i have read tons of wso's and other guru ebooks about fan pages and tried to implement some of the strategies.

I have 750 friends on my profile just to let you know and i invite them all to join every new page.

Strategy 1- Made one TV show fan site with a catchy title and used facebook ads , spent $50 so far only have 650 fans in my first week and its only getting new paid fans even though the joining rate per click on the ad is almost 100%.

Strategy 2-Tried coming up with some ideas for catchy phrases of my own and sent to all my friends, so far got some of these pages 50-80 fans in a week.

Strategy 3- researched some existing one word or otherwise very popular fan pages with 200k or more fans , used the same phrases with my own graphics and content. Results were still low 1 is at 190 fans in 4 days the rest are at around 50-70 fans.

So i feel im missing something the sites i copied had nothing but the catchy phrase, no content or anything, i made mine the same or even with a bit more content.

Why are mine not growing virally like thiers??

      I have a travel website and just recently created a Fan Page. I got about 250 members. Is there a limit to how many people you can email on a fan page and also what is the biggest method of monetizing your fan pages...once you get them established?

    Ok, I'll let you in on a secret. KEEP IT SIMPLE! I run a lot of pages and the best pages are simple like a page with a title like 'Micheal Jordan' will get 100,000 fans.

    Can you help me with this info:

    1.One Facebook user how many fan pages is allowed to start?

    2.Is it possible to message afterwards ALL the fans of the page you created,
    with some message in their facebook message inbox?

      Answers:

      1. One account can have as much pages and groups as they want.

      2. It is only possible to do that with a group that has under 5000 members.

    facebook groups aren't remotely as popular or viral as fan pages. Why bother?

    well said, Freshmaker..

    Facebook Fan Pages can go more than 5000 members and it uses Feeds to deliver content from your Fan Page updates straight to the walls of your fans and that means they don't need to check on their Inbox to see your stuff.

    Facebook Groups only allow Message All Members function if you have less then 5000 members.

    There is pros and cons and it really depends on where you want your message to be seen, i.e. in the Wall Feeds, or in the Inbox...... hope this helps guys.

      Right now I have 3 different accounts on facebook with 2k+ friends on each one, and use all 3 accounts to suggest my page to all 6000+ friends. out of the 6k, around 500-1k actually become a fan of the page, mainly based on how funny the title is and they grow from there
