A Question for the Warrior Marketing Geniuses ...

I have started an online business. ( a low cost, feeder program - $25 monthly) I have a advertising/marketing budget of about $200.00 to start . What do you feel would be the most cost effective way to generate unique, quality traffic to my site ? I am kinda weary of Google PPC. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks in advance. Best

    @ readywerx,

If you only have a $200 budget then I would start out with free marketing methods that work very well.

You could do forum marketing, article marketing, and then video marketing.

I generate most of my traffic and leads from article marketing and video marketing.

    I would diversify my $200.

Depending on who your hosted with sometimes they offer a PPC coupon to get you started, between $25-$50, so in that case you wouldn't need to spend any money, and $25-$50 could get you around 150-400 clicks, if you keep a low CPC and use banner advertising over textual ads.

Otherwise, here is what I would start with, the free:

    - Build a Following on Twitter
    - Build Backlinks
    - Begin to Article Market
    - Build a List ( Using above methods )
    - Take List and Do Ad-Swaps to Build it Bigger
    - Blog Comment

    The Paid:

    - PPC - $50 budget - to squeeze page to build list
    - Sponsored Review - $50-$100 - to build list
    - Independent Ad Buy, $50-$100 - to build list

    The Concept:

    Build the freakin list...

With a budget of only $200 and on a new business (is it a new model or already used and profitable?)

Then i would only suggest you look at the free methods first! Then if it proves profitable you can check to see which free method works best and use some of that money to outsource the traffic building on free methods... it will continue to build up and then you can look at the more 'higher risk' paid methods too!

An affiliate program might help it get going once you have it off the ground too.

    Ready,
I'm with dave. I've had success with forum marketing as well as video marketing, but haven't gotten into articles just yet. I honestly thought they were a waste of time until recently when several well respected warriors proved otherwise. Best bet is to combine your efforts so that they leverage one another.

For instance, have your forum marketing efforts lead to a cool video you made, or have your articles lead to a forum post that you started which got a positive response. These days, the one and done type of messages just aren't enough. People want to see that you care about what you do.

Any time I send out a new project, I always email my list (free), post on Twitter (free), make a video (free), and yell from my rooftop [free, but largely ineffective ].

I'm starting to think that many of the free methods are more powerful than the paid ones....to an extent.
