Question about Spinners

My current strategy is as follows:
  1. Write a unique article for my blog and publish it.
  2. Rewrite that article into a second one that is unique too, and submit it to the world (Link Racer, Article Directories and so on).
I think this works because duplicate content is a myth. As far as I understand it, as long as the content on my own website is unique, I'm gold and it's ok to submit a second article everywhere on the web. Is this correct?

If my assumption above is correct, what good would a spinner do to me? Aside from helping me out with rewriting that first article into a second one, I don't really need a spinner. Do I?

I'd appreciate answers from more experienced warriors.

The spinner will also make your articles unique for the directory's and your readers.

This means that your readers won't be seeing the same article over and over again!

It also means that the directory's will have less chance of deleting your article because some don't allow you to distribute the same article all over the place.

It's also a safeguard for if google ever does change it's stance on duplicate content.

But really the speed part should be the most important even if you are only wanting to product one other article!

    Use to make:
    Videos
    Audiopods,
    blog comments,
    guest blog posts,
instaed of 500 copies of one article floating around 50 of ten articles floating around
    Press releases
    forum posts
    crochet them

    Brain Melt
The list goes on and on
But you also need to learn to spin so the spun articles don't look like crap

Join ArticleProductions for $16 something a month. It's a no brainier as it also is a directory that will syndicate any article posted to it to (I think 150 places, as I understand it, all owned by AP *or back-link it 150 times... Sheesh I need a nap* and unavailable any other way, but of course I could be wrong about that part of it... I did say I had brain melt, Right?)

I think content spinners are great! I use dupecop and it's $5 bucks a month. It allows me to spin each article and submit different articles to all the directories. I do this because I generally like to go after low competition niches and try to rank all of my articles to expand reach.

As far as the duplicate content myth, it all depends on which method you areusing in the first place.

Deezy, does DupeCop submit the articles as well? If not, what do you use for submitting the articles to hundreds of directories?

I was under the impression that article spinners make low quality content.

I don't use spinners separately, only as part of a submission service (like SubmitYourArticle and Article Marketing Automation). Even if you spin your article 50 times you need to submit it to all the different sites and that takes hours - so I'd much rather save the time and pay for the service.

Where I could see that spinners are useful is to submit content to third party pages to build Squidoo lenses, hub pages, forums etc. Your content will be more unique and some of the editors actually search whether your content already exists elsewhere (for example hub pages).

You could use it to submit press releases, etc But if you're looking to generate traffic rather than simply creating links, you're better of writing proper press releases, as the purpose and structure for press releases and articles is very different.
