I am quite new to the blogging stuff, basically is it better to have a blog intregated to my website or just to set up many different blogs separately like on blogger that are not attached to my site, or should I do both? Secondly should I then post my approved ezine articles to the blog and have these linking to my ezine article again or would I just link to my sales page? Lastly, now I know how to set the blogs up and linking of them please can someone tell me what else I would need to do...like RSS feeds to Feedest.com, Feedage.com, Feedagg.com...is this right, would I do this each time for each posting or once when I set the blog up? and pinging I hear of, would this be pinging the RSS feed or the blog URL? Sorry for all the questions... any info in relation to my questions or in general will be appreciated. Many thanks |

The answer to all those questions could be a short book. But I will give you my "unprofessional" opinion. Your blog should be seperate from your actual website in most cases. Unless you are going to want to use it for PPC, then the blog attached to your site can potential help your quality score. Personally, I would post my article to my blog before I post it to ezine articles and then link the ezine article back to my blog. Which will give you pretty good quality 1 way links back to your blog. I am no SEO expert by any means, but through my studies, that is the norm. I would setup Onlywire (Onlywire.com) onto your blog, it will allow you to sydicate your content to around 26 sites every time you hit the publish button on your blog. As far as setting up a bunch of different blogs, I would stick to 1 untill you really figure out how to make it work for you. When you start getting things to work, just rinse and repeat for as many blogs as your heart desires. Just remember that all those blogs need FRESH content OFTEN, So the more blogs, the more time you will spend creating, unless you outsource. Hope that helps....as far as Pings and what not. I can't help you. I don't really use any. I do believe that I have a ping plugin but I never touch it. Jeff Mitchell |
