Easy Way To Increase Your Opt Ins By Up To 10%

Hey Warriors,

I have picked up a lot of great tips here and Im thankful for joining this place to see all the generous warriors helping out!

In the spirit of the warrior forum I want to reveal a quick tip that can boost your optin rate by up to 10%

When creating your double opt in confirmation page it is important to give the users instructions on how to click the confirmation e mail but more so since we live in such a instant gratification society most users may click away or go to another website right after forgetting to double opt in and then being confused when they see the email.

In order to boost response rates you want to write something like

"In order to receive your free guide/report you must confirm your email please visit your e mail provide below to confirm your e mail"

Then have;

Yahoo mail
Google Mail
Hotmail

Hyperlinked so the user can go straight to his mail box from your page to confirm his e mail. This increases opt in rates and prevents users from wandering away from your page right after or thinking they should do it "later" and then not doing it.

You know I have not though about actually doing that myself. Although, I sometimes use the Aweber video that sends them to a custom video of what their email is. Thanks for the post.

      Np, glad I could help.

I usually like to customize my confirmation pages so they match the colors of my opt in page and create a sense of consistency and personality for the user which give him a heightened sense of security and comfort when confirming his or her e mail.

Np, you can also add little icons above each hyper link to make it more apparent. The less reading a user has to do the better.

may sound a bit of extreme but if it squeeze out an extra 1-2% opt in confirmation above the 10% it could result in a few more sales.

    Hey Vanguish,

Double optin is the DEVIL! You will lose 3/4's of your optin's by making them take the time to check their email before they receive some thing from you. A lot of people think that by making your subscribers except your invitation you are making sure they are serious about reading your material. The truth is that people will give you false info half the time anyway. It is a lot easier to just give people what they are looking for RIGHT AFTER they optin to your list regardless of their acceptance. That is when they are most interested and likely to buy from you. People subscribe to a lot of mailing lists and get a lot of free offers (especially in the internet marketing niche) and most people, unless you have an unbelievable offer, will forget about your offer 5 minutes after they subscribe. Not to mention that the spam filters will probably eat up a lot of emails so your double optin subscribers will never receive them anyway. Just my two thoughts and experience. I know I don't have a lot of posts but believe me.

I'm fairly new, but I ran into the same trouble with the double opt in already. I wouldn't go so high as to say 75% like the post above, but I'd say I lost about 30-40% of my opt-ins. Yesterday I took the opt-in completely off all my lists. And it IS true if people are just looking around it's not to your advantage to give them extra steps. The key is to build your lists so you'd want to make it as easy as possible for someone to get ON the list.

Well if you would use the method that Vanquish described I bet that you would increase your optin rate.

I don't usually use double optin either but I have noticed that the double optins are much more responsive to my emails

Great post Vanquish, I did not think about this though I have seen it a few times and it truly works.

I found the lists were I have double opt in are much more responsive than the single opt ins ones. But you gotta do what works for you.

Thank you for this Great tip.

I have been running an adwords campain recently to generate optins. The problem is some surfers just click away without confirming their emails.

Once people click on the ad, more than 50% do not sign up. And from the rest who sign up more than 50% do not confirm their emails.

Is it normal to have 50% of visitors not confirming their emails.

Or am I just throwing my money on adwords?

A very good tip that a lot of marketers forget to do I also put a flashing arrow next to it to sink it into them what exactly I want them to do. Its a great call to action, that works great!
