Giving Forward

I am just curious how many internet marketers dedicate a portion of profits to philanthropic and charitable purposes. I call this giving forward because giving back as it is commonly referred has a negative connotation, inferring that we all owe others because we make money.

It's very easy, espcially with an online business, to pocket every penny we make and run.

So do you give forward?

    I tithe every week a total of 10% of my income. During Christmas I donate to the salvation army and buy toys for the toys for tots. I also participate in operation christmas child.

    I will be donating my tithes for the next couple of weeks to help Haiti. I think we all should help that country because they have a long way to go and need all the help they can get.

    All of this comes from my online income.

    So yes, I give forward.

    I don't owe anything to anyone - but I have always supported charities and causes that I believe in.

    I feel no obligation to donate because someone says I "should" - and tend to donate to animal shelters and rescue organizations, wildlife foundations, etc. because that's where my interests lie. I don't donate to those who are "collecting for" - but directly to the charity.

    To me, those who admonish others about "giving back" just have control issues.:rolleyes:

    I don't like to give my money to charities because I don't know where the
    money ends. Espescially here in Italy you have to apay attention.

    What I do is do the stuff I want to do myself and organize everything. Last
    year I hired a company and let them build a brand new basketball field and a
    small football field for the young people here who tend to be involoved in all
    kind of crimes at a young age.

    The money that made this possible came from my IM business. It was a great
    feeling people and it is still a great feeling everytime I pass by these courts.
