Which niche is more competitive?

So I have heard that the MMO market is highly competitive. And it is pretty common knowledge that the home business/IM niche is very competitive.

So my question is, if you were to start a blog in one of these niches with the hopes of one day making a profit from it. Which would you choose? Which is the most competitive? Which would be easiest to find keywords and rank for?

Any ideas on this?

Home business IM niche would be more profitable IMO and won't be gone in a few years time. Not that I think MMO niche will go anywhere, but the chances of that happening are far greater than the Home Business IM niche flopping. People always want to work from home and make more money.

Hmm that's a really good point Adam. For the particular game I am almost positive it will be around for at least another 5 or so years. But I see your point, the home business niche will ALWAYS be there.

    Anyone have anymore ideas?

Well I've been thinking about it and I can see myself promoting the MMO niche ALOT easier than the home based business niche

This is mostly because video marketing would be alot easier (screen capture) and I could easily write content because I happen to be involved in a particular MMO at this current time.

However for some reason I have a certain connection to the home based business idea.

What I may end up doing is starting with the mmo niche and once I find a certain level of success I will start up the home based business blog as well and outsource as much of the two as I can.

Eventually I will be running a total of 5 blogs at a time and my goal is to have each make a net of $3000 per month (before costs)

I just want to start out smaller with one and figure everything out so that I can build up to that goal.
