Default Paypal Mass Pay

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could give me their feedback on paypal masspay. I am starting a membership site using amember and will be using paypal for payments. For my affiliate program I will be paying people using mass pay.

Or so I think.

Has anyone got any experiences good or bad of paypal mass pay? Something that really scares me is the thought of mucking it up and not paying affiliates correctly or doing something stupid that wrecks my business. I'm savvy. but I mean what happens if someone emails saying they haven't been paid, when paypal says they have?

i love mass pay

1. you pay less for fees for transactions
2. once you create your first excel file you can use it as template and only change the email and the number of $$$ you send.

Hey

Thanks for your answer.

Does that mean I have to go through each affiliate and input their commision into an exel file? I thought amember would do that for me that sounds like a hell of a lot of work

A PayPal receipt is good as a bank receipt. The IRS takes them, and so would a small claims court judge if they pushed it.

Thanks Dan

So is the general consensus that paying affiliates using paypal mass pay is all easy enough and pretty reliable?

One final thing. What happens is the affiliate isn't a paypal member? They'll still get the money won't they?

Sure, although it's only one little part of running an affiliate program. You need to collect W-9s from all your affiliates to collect their tax identification info before you send them money, keep records so you can mail out 1099s at the end of the year to the affiliates and the IRS, etc. Plus all the work involved in making sure your affiliates aren't cheating you.

Not necessarily. Not everyone can get an account even if they want one. You need to require your affiliates have a PayPal account before they sign up if that's the only way you're going to pay them.
