A few words of WSO purchasing wisdom
In a very few cases, it might truly be a once in a lifetime opportunity, but for the most part, there will be an even brighter shinier object just around the bend, with another, possibly lower, introductory price.
To all of you WSO creators, this isn't to say that each of you is not *totally* unique and special or that your products aren't super fabulous. It's just a bit of a caution for newbies and sorta newbies who aren't bringing in much dough yet and need to slow down the buying.
- Think hard about where this WSO fits in your marketing/business plan (you DO have one, right?).
- Are you ready to implement the info in the product, or will it sit waiting til you've plowed through all the rest of the stuff you've bought?
- Does using the product require more technical skills than you currently have?
Just a few things to consider. One suggestion. Make a spreadsheet of all the WSO's and other IM material you've purchased: Date, Title, Purpose, Cost, Notes, etc. And before you buy yet another WSO, take a look at what you already have and see where this new one fits, or if it duplicates some of your existing products.
Again, I'm not saying there aren't a ton of incredibly valuable WSO's. There are, and I've bought a ton. BUT several of them are still sitting idly on my hard drive because I haven't implemented the ones I previously purchased. I get caught up in thinking I NEED this one piece of the puzzle.
But really, that one more piece won't do me any good until I take action on the pieces I already own.
I'm writing this as much for me as for you; I just made that spreadsheet a couple of days ago. This morning I attended another webinar. Those free webinars are usually full of great info, and then there's the inevitable fantastic offer at the end. And if the presenter's any good at all, you're left feeling that you can't possibly live another day without the product. That's how I felt this morning, and I'm trying to follow my own advice.
Just sayin'...
