Help with an Excel Macro please?

I have a macro set up in excel but the range is only set for one cell and I need to change it to the entire column, or at least a wide range of cells. Can anyone tell me how to do that or point me to a resource? Thanks!

you need to edit Macro, Press ALT+F11 and find the module where the code is and then find exact range reference and change it.

Yes, I know that, thanks. I don't know what to change it to. That's the problem. I've tried everything I can think of but I've never edited a macro before so I don't know what how to do the range. I've tried A2:A50 and A2, A50 and just the column letter and other combos I can't remember.
