Google Search Results Question

You'd think by now I'd know the answer to this one but for the life of me I don't. I want to find my sites and see where they show up in search results in Google when I enter my keywords. I hear people talking about it all the time (show up on the first page of Google in 2 hours, etc.) and the only way I know to do it is manually.

I've searched all over Google (webmaster tools, etc.) and all over this forum and can't find another EASIER way than entering my search terms and then reading through pages of results for MY site. Fortunately, a few of them ARE on the first page of Google results but I've found others after searching through 3 pages of results.

Am I missing something? Others make it sound like a 2 second search and voila! you know where your site shows up.

Thanks for the help.

I would recommend checking manually. Google doesn't like automated tools to check position. One thing you can do is set your preferences to show 100 search results at a time, and then use CTRL+F to find your domain on the page. Using this method you can get through a few hundred results in less than 30 seconds.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.
