I'll Pay You $50 To Help Increase My Conversions

I have a site (www.IsometricExerciseSite.com) that gets a steady 100-150 views per day but no conversions. I need someone's help doing the following:

1). Help me implement a pop-up (I already have Optin-Popup from Brian Terry) with a page that sends people to an affiliate site (MaxWorkouts.com) He has a free report and I want people to be directed over there to download the report.

2). Improve placement of my affiliate offers. Ideally, they should be on the top right hand section of my site, but I don't know how to customize my theme to do so.

Any other suggestions? I'll pay you $50 via PayPal if you can help.

Thanks,
Raza

Don't tell them you sell the products on the main site. That's a stop word for people, "sell". If they know they might be buying something and have no clue before hand, they might be turned off when they find out you're promoting something and bounce.

Review the products instead of little paragraphs. Include pictures, at least 150-300 words and a little honest product talk. No money via PayPal needed

Increasing conversions may be nowhere near as simple as the few things
you've mentioned. Copywriting changes may need to be made or added if
there is little or no copy.

The time required to do this properly in order to get any significant results,
for $50, could translate to $3 per work hour.

I could do better working at McDonald's slinging fries.

And before you say "there are people for whom $3 per hour is good money"
how many of them are qualified to significantly increase conversions?

Think about that before you answer.

In other words, you get what you pay for.

And in this case...50 bucks ain't gonna get you much.

      Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Steven, you're the expert not me. I thought a few simple changes would do the trick, but I'm open to suggestions. I know that good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good.

My opinion (and it may be wrong) is that just doing the above 2 things will help me a little. Then I can invest in some better copywriting, etc.

Any change you make no matter how small MAY make a difference.

        MAY being the operative word.

Looking at your site (no offense intended) the couple of things you
mentioned won't make THAT much difference IMO.

IMO, the site needs to be overhauled completely, though I could be
        wrong.

I'm certainly open to those who are better than me at this stuff to chime
        in with their opinions.

But a pop up and "improved" placement?

Um...don't think that's gonna put much of a dent in your conversion.

        Again, I could be wrong.

Thanks for the candid feedback Steven. That's why I posted the question here. My gut tells me that I *could* get 2-3 sales per day if I play my cards right.

At this point I'm open to all critiques and suggestions.

          Best,
          Raza

Okay, I just took a quick look at the site. Sorry, but that's the best I
            can do gratis.

            1. WAY too much info. Why the hell should I buy anything? You're practically
giving away the farm. Yes, I understand it's a blog, but even so, there is
only so much you can share and still make sales.

            2. At the end of your articles...no call to action. This one thing alone MAY
make a big difference. Give them a resource box with a pitch relevant to the
            article.

            3. Your "get your free report" pitch is buried over on the right sidebar. I
only saw it because I was looking for it. If you want to get opt ins, you
have to be a lot more "in your face" than that.

            4. I notice you don't have the full article on your page. A person needs to
click through to read the rest of it. Why give them an extra step? This
just decreases the chances of them getting to your resource box.

            5. There are way too many pages and way too much going on in general.
The site itself does nothing for me other than make me want to leave.

What's your bounce rate? How long are people even staying there?

I'll bet 90% of the people, or more, are spending less than 30 seconds.

            6. The header is a real snooze.

            "Isometrics Exercise Site?"

Yeah, that gets me about as excited as the thought of sleeping with
            Henry Kissinger.

Like I said...needs a major overhaul. The site just doesn't work the way
            things are laid out now.

Make a single squeeze page with a killer headline and benefit for joining
your list and direct people THERE.

Then you can direct them to your blog from your newsletter with
relevant articles and other pieces of info.

That alone SHOULD make some difference.

You need to have a lead generation page or otherwise known as a sqeeze page/optin page.

Your website gives them too much information and they can navigate away.

By having a one page optin that is short and sweet and specific enough for them to optin will improve your sign up figures.

Good luck with it, sorry I can't help you more, I work for more than $50 an hour

I'd say you should get a higher image/word ratio. More pictures compared to words.

And get yourself a logo with a good tagline (you can get decent ones for around fifty dollars if you google "logo design").

I kind of agree with Steven on this one.
It's not appealing to start reading here, though the posts with the video's looks alright.

But one thing I especially noticed is the massive sidebar!
If it was up to me, I would have removed:

    Meta
    The second search button
    Archives
    The second "Tags" placement
The "thing" under the first search

And you should try to properly format the "Get Your Free Report Now!" section in the sidebar, have way less text, or perhaps only a few bullets.

Eventually just switch it out with a few banners. (I wouldn't think they get many clicks now anyways)

That being said, I'm not a copywriter or designer

    I hope it helps!
