How Do You Know The Number of People Clicking Through Your Link in Twitter?

Hi!

How do you know the number of people clicking through your links? Currently, I am using buzzom.com and I don't know whether they have this feature included together.

I don't know how reliable is su.pr because when I see the number of clicks and compare it with google analytics, I see that google analytics did not show any difference.

Currently, I am looking for free tool to address the above mentioned problem.

Thanks

I use a unique link on Twitter and use cli.gs as a shortener. Then when I check the analytics from Cli.gs - I know only how many links came from Twitter.

Yup a url shortner is a best option otherwise..you can view the refere to get a rough estimate via analytics or awsstats

    I use bit.ly

When it's an important project where I'll track link activity for a longer
time, I prefer to use my own tracking script (installed on my server)
and use those links in tweets.

    All success

I use lilURL - A Free/Open Source Clone of TinyURL. It runs on my server and meets the basic requirements of shortening links and counting the clicks and not much else. Hosting your own is kind of nice because if you accidently post the wrong link, you can always change it. Or if you're kind of shady, you can post something, and once it gets retweeted enough that you're seeing some decent traffic flow, you can pull the old bait and switch by changing the destination link to point to an affiliate link banner farm or lemonparty or something.

Definately wil second Bit.ly....but make sure that you pay attention to which clicks are people and which ones are bots...

Don't want to screw up your conversions.

    I have been using: Su.pr

    * It allows you to tweet on twitter, post on Facebook and Stumble Upon all at the same time.
    * It handles multiple accounts or usernames.
    * It will track your clicks and also suggest optimal times to post by researching when most of your followers are online.
    * You can even schedule tweets for a later time and will post automatically.
    * It's Free.
