one question that runs in my mind...

In starting IM ... Did most of you started out just out of the blue... or did you start by following one of the guides that was sold here or there? like WSO's or does anybody of you have a personal mentor that i dont have

help?

I wanted to start... but as of now the only method I knw to blog is to blogspot... but dont know if its effective or not...haven't tried it though...doing Affiliate marketing and using blogspot as a platform?
would this be fine?

or what i read is i can try to spin it like making some lens in squidoo...or make some articles to Ezine...

Honestly I would just dive in. Try a little bit of everything and see what you like. Having a passion for it makes it that much easier. There are tons of methods and ways to make money. Try a bunch of different things, find what you like then learn as much about it.

Persistence is absolutely crucial to become a successful internet marketer, stick with it an good luck!

    • You know... after actually deciding to start monetizing on the internet, part of the biggest obstacle I've encountered is what to actually do as a main focus.

I have a couple decent ideas implemented, but they simply do not seem scalable and/or viable as long term business plans.

Looking forward to some expert advice.

Pick something close to your own interests and hobbies and see what kind of opportunities exist in that area. Do you like to restore old cars? Maybe you could sell parts online. Do you like to write? Pick something you know a lot about and start writing a blog about it. After a while you can find a way to monetize that.

Knowledge about the products your selling is second only to passion for it. If you truly love what you're working with, you'll do it 10x better.

This is a great niche. There are eight million kitchen gadgets out there you can buy through Amazon, and eighty million tips and tricks to put in a blog.

And take it from a former pastry chef - the research will make you very popular with the ladies.

Yeah, I'd like to hear the experts chime in, too! Especially for those of us who are copywriters and only know some basic html...I need a newbie friendly way to build sites for IM, and of course, the current best newbie IM strategy for jumping in and succeeding (with a lot of hard work and smarts, of course!)

        Thanks in advance, y'all!

OH...and I'm going to be upgrading my desktop. Can anyone recommend the best kind of system for IM'ing? I'm guessing the biggest PC hoss possible short of a gamer's system...maybe a Dell Inspiron or Studio?

Find out how you can produce powerful, fist-pumping profits with a rock-em, sock-em sales system created by a former robotics engineer who rips apart winning sales copy to see what makes it tick so she make yours even better…PM me for details

The single best thing you can do for your system in IM is have as much screen space as you can fit on your desk. Rather than worrying about processor speed or 3D rendering, worry about getting the biggest monitors you can. Instead of paying an extra $800 for lots of memory, put that $800 on three 20-inch monitors. The memory is nice, but the screen space is nicer.

Browser windows are big. When you're working on a site, it's outrageously useful to have your research open on one screen, your site editor on another, and your browser on a third.

Seriously, you have NO IDEA how much time you are wasting just switching windows until you get to stop doing it.

I started out of the blue. In fact, I was earning a full time living online before I'd ever heard of internet marketing. I just didn't pay attention to what anyone was doing. Common sense got me out of the rat race. Not sure I'd recommend that for everyone though. I think I probably could have done a lot of things better if I'd have known what I was doing from the get go.

I've never had more than one monitor, so how do you switch between monitors, and how is that faster than switching between windows? Maybe the second part of that will be evident with your answer to the first part.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Just jumped in. Of course, I stood on the sidelines thinking about jumping in for several years... and I had some "false starts" where I started at the shallow end, waded in a little ways, then turned around and ran back out. Sometimes I made money, sometimes I lost money, but it was only last year that I committed myself to doing IM full time no matter what it took.
