Im curling this info from a book i just read and i believe it will really help the stuggling newbie in their quest to writing their first info product.

For some people writing is almost an impossible task hence they prefer to outsouce this part of the job out

so to the newbies who are cash strapped...

let me tell you that the best advice from me to you is that you should write about WHAT YOU KNOW.that will make everything so easy.

chances are that someone will want to read about what you got to say even if they have never heard of your name before.

what does matter is that every one has a unique way of looking and solving some certain problems.

so where do you start from...

No matter which route you take you should try and see if there is a market for it first. you can do this by typing your subject keyword here
Advertising Your Business with Yahoo! Search Marketing.
or
you can also do a quick research on this tool called the dowser
http://www.keywordempire.com/keywordempire.exe

this will give you the no of people who are intrested in leraning your subject.it also gives you a ratio of current website on your subject.

the second method is using the forum.
forum are a fantastic way to ask some questions and turn such question into a book based on the response you get.

its a wonderful way to find out how much intrest your subject can generate

you can also go to major search engines like google, yahoo, msn etc and check the supply and competitors to see how many competitors you will have to challenge for a slot in the market share

note: if there are many competitors in your subject topic but low demand you may want to rethink about your project.

pls additional info will be greatly appreciated

    Hey there,

    Great Post!

I would add a couple things...

    1. Use Yahoo Answers to find the question that get asked the most!

    2. I do not totally agree with the "if there are too many competitors think of another subject"...

If there are many competitors that is a sign of a good niche where money is being made.

I would instead do any or ALL of the following...

    A. Find the top sellers and do what they do BUT BETTER!

    B. Create or Research a "sub-niche" within that market!

    ex. of a broad market...
    The golf market

    ex. of sub-niche...
"How to Get A Birdie on Every Hole"

    C. Contact those competitors and offer them a Free Report covering your "Sub-Niche" and ask them to give as a bonus for FREE to their list/subscribers and then you turn a negative into a postive!

    Just a couple of suggestions.

Hope this helps and GREAT POST!

    ~Kevin

yes i do agree with you kelvin about not shying away from competitors when creating your product because it only mean there is good money to be made in such niche

but this post is specially for newbies that are cash strapped. that means the competitors will drawn any newbie without money to do other necessary things needed to make a success of their product

and beside a niche that has many competitors but low demand is not the best for any stuggling newbie

      just my opinion

I would like to share that you may also use article marketing and writing. Submission of articles to major article directories can be effective because you can write articles regarding your project. most article directories have page views - through this you will also know if you can generate good traffic and if there are people that are so much interested with your project or whatever you got for them.

Nice post. I also suggest using Googles tool for keyword research as well as gauging competition etc. - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

I really like the forum idea. Especially because after creating your eBook, you can then sell it back to them

When finding a topic to build the product on, be sure to find a niche that has a necessity or problem that needs solving. Market research is pretty important. No point spending a week creating a quality product only to find out that no one needs it :p

Also be sure to build a list. Make a quick bonus eBook or an excerpt of the eBook you're selling and give it out on a squeeze page. Then make it do a followup 24 hours later telling them to buy the full eBook or whatever.
