Best way to contact people...without being ignored?

I've been trying to contact companies that run affiliate programs with some questions about their programs. Simple questions, but I'm being ignored at every turn...is it me? Should I be taking it personally? Hahaha

I'm trying to promote their products, but I want to check that they pay attention to their affiliates before I put hours of work into promotion.

I would hate to run into a problem later on, have an issue that needs dealing with and receive the same kind of treatment!

I don't think I'm being unreasonable...some of the niches I'm going after are very small, so it's not like I'm trying to contact the president of a huge company directly (maybe I should...I might have better results!)

Most of the companies/people I'm trying to contact are through the Clickbank marketplace and all of them are in the Animal niche. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I emailed a company the other day with a simple (yes or no) question about their program and have been ignored. I think you have a valid concern - if they can't bother to respond to a simple question, then do you really want to spend time promoting them? Me, I'm looking for a different product. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

I agree with Rob, if these companies are CPA networks then i think you have to join them first before contacting their affiliate managers. If they still don't contact you then ignore them.

Yes some have 1000s of affiliates, but if as you say they are not giant corporations then they should get back to you.

I know it is frustrating not to get a response - especially as in your situation you are potentially going to be driving traffic to their site and making money for the both of you, but if I were you I wouldn't do anything differently - don't go out of your way to do anything special, just take it as a definite sign that you shouldnt get involved with them. If they treat you like this then it rings alarm bells for me:
    • do they neglect all their affiliates?
    • has their website "died" and they just don't put effort into it anymore - perhaps they work on other projects / businesses?
    • perhaps they don't work on the website full time?
    • perhaps their website doesn't convert and they have lost interest / stopped putting effort in?
    • if they treat affiliates like that do they treat customers poorly too? would this lead to higher refund rates? questions going unanswered?
They have probably done you a favour by not responding to you, move onto the next program, see if they are more responsive, see if they can offer a bit more support and advice - see if they are worth your time

If you're in a CPA network, build a good relationship with your affiliate manager. They can help you more then you would believe. Me and my azoogle advisor are on first name basis with phone contact.
