This one tip:
- boosted my conversion rates to 40-60%
- boosted my click through rates to 30%
Everyone says, double opt-in, double opt-in, it's almost like you HAVE to use double opt-in.
Well, it is better. Does create more response.
But what I don't like about it, is the procedure my prospect has to go through, going back to click a confirmation and then proceeding to either get another email or then go to the download page.
I know it seems stupid to us, but this is an annoying inconvenience to consumers, especially impulsive consumers .
So change the funnel a bit:
Single Opt-IN--> +
Thank you and Download--> +
Email and Send Second Piece of Informative Value-->+
Confirm Opt-IN -->
You now have a double opt-in without the lost rate of confusion on the process.
For those that don't confirm you still have them on a Single List, and can try different emails to eventually get them to confirm.
I found that this works well and boosts conversions to new heights with use of Pay Per Click.
I'm testing a new theory and that is adding a
social media piece into the mix and will let you know the results as well.
