Need Camstudio Video Help!

Hi all,

Someone else asked this and didn't get much help. I'd like to do the same thing, so I'm bringing the question out again:

How can you do effects with CamStudio? I want to do a video which isn't anything more than a screen capture video. I didn't see it, but apparently, there was a Superbowl commercial which was nothing more than someone typing a series of terms into Google's search box.

Some of the screen capture frames were of the screen from an angle. You can see it in the video at 1:17 here:

Can I do that with CamStudio? More importantly, HOW can I do it?

Thanks so much for your help!

Sincerely,
Michelle

I don't believe you do it in the editing program... Cam Studio or other.
I believe it was done in Power Point then exported as a video file which
    can then be edited.

      PowerPoint??? Now I'm REALLY confused!

I thought this was a screen capture video. CamStudio is screen capture software. If I can't do those effects in CamStudio, I understand. I'll just need to choose a third-party editing program to edit it. Is that what I need to do?

      Thanks,

No, you can use Camtasia to do the angled effect. When you are on the production screen go to Edit then Zoom And Pan. You'll be able to figure it out once you get there.

      Fox 30,

Are you talking about Camtasia or CamStudio? They're two completely different programs. I'm working with CamStudio.

      Thanks,

I'm pretty sure you can't do that with CamStudio but Camtasia Studio can do it. There is a free 30 trial from TechSmith t Download Camtasia Studio 30-Day Trial

        Hope that helps.

I just went back and watched Andy's video on how
he produced these. As I said, he produced them in
Power Point... also showed how to do it in Keynote
        for you Mac fans.

With Keynote you can export the final product as
a video file. With Power Point you would need to
record them with a screen capture program such as
        CamStudio or Camtasia.

The slant effect you're looking for is added in Camtasia.

I suspect you'll have to do a lot of snippets and paste them together. It would be tough for a person to do all of that without an error. It's easy to cut and paste in Camtasia. And you can find free or cheap music for use on the production - google royalty free music.
