Has anyone ever had a problem outsourcing on this forum?

I have a couple of jobs that i have already paid for from respected members (1 of which i have ordered from before) on this forum, and they have both surpassed their deadlines without the order fulfilled. Is there anything I can do about it?

I don't wanna rat on them, but its getting beyond ridiculous!

Has anyone ever had this problem, and if so, what can i do about it?

I did use somebody for some jobs and they went over deadline 2-3 days but then they apologised and I was very happy with the end result and will use them again. I think Just give them couple of days and drop them a pm or an email to see what is happening.

Mabe your right. But they were supposed to deliver the project like 3 days ago, and i have sent them subsequent pm's, with no response. Thats what i don't get about the WF. I can't call them out by name, yet they can be doing this to so many other people.

I think thats the plan. I wanna wait a day or two though, just to see if they respond to my pm's.

    Hi there,

Just to let you know there may be a very good reason for this, I know some of our US based warriors are dealing with really heavy snow blizzards at the moment and that the weather is is affecting their internet access.

I think Tina from TMG enterprises said she was offline for a day or two due to snow storms taking out some of the cables in her area.

I jsut thought I'd chime in here and give you the heads up!

    Help this helps!

Well I know one of them is from India, but the other one, im not so sure. Lesson learned, always use an escrow, or demand receiving goods upfront before paying. Thanks though.

I would just contact those warriors again and give them another chance to fix the problem possibly with part of your money back, or even credit on a future order. Most of the times Warriors take on much more than they should and it ends up causing this. Be nice, we're all here to help each other, and hopefully they will help you make it right.

It's only a couple days past deadlines? That's really not that long. Sure, we'd all like to be within our deadline every time but sometimes things really do happen.

As Jacob mentioned above, I was just without power and cable (which is my phone, internet and tv) from Thursday through Sunday noon. Thank goodness that none of my clients over-reacted and thought I skipped out on them. As soon as I was re-connected, I contacted all of them that were affected by my absence.

Not long ago, I lost almost a week's worth of work when my computer had a meltdown. Between that and this storm, hopefully I've reached my quota of "when bad things happen to good people" for a while...lol.

I think a polite note in their thread would be okay, "hey, Mr. X, could you give me an update on the status of my project?", but at least give them a chance to respond.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experienced rvrabel2002. I agree with you, lesson learned. You should be more careful this time, i suggest to hire a company instead of a freelancer. The rate is higher compared with freelancer but the quality is a lot better. Also, you have the assurance that your provider will not disappear because of supervisors and managers who are handling your staff.

I can give you more information if you're interested. Please hit me up.

I bought a few products from this forum ...some good, a couple not so good. There is one big poster on this board that needs a serious case of "user interface" resuscitation.

    • No matter how or where you buy its a good idea to pay with a credit card for the protection this allows. If you are a reputable business that has full time staff and accepts credit cards its unlikely that you will treat your customers poorly. Anyone who is doing business and will not respond to their customers is most likely just someone working from their home.

Don't spend out of control. Outsoursers make us a
boat load of money. You have to find good ones just
        anything else.

Give them time, check the work if it's not good don't
        hire them again.

Erevyone gets over loaded with work. The idea
above to pay with credit card is a good one.
