1shopping cart and large digital products help

Hey guys, i am somewhat of a begginer and i was trying to configure an audio book upsell using the 1shoppingcart upsell express but i ran into a problem. I learned that the max size for a digital product is 7 mb. My audio book is roughly 400 mb.

Is there any possible solution to this without using some other shopping cart?

I am sure many of you seasoned marketers sell large audio files, what solutions do you use to deliver such big files?

    Firstly I'd compress the audio because I think 400mb is way too big.
    Then you could divide it up into chapters. Then you could deliver the product as a pdf ebook with links to the audio chapers inside.

    Hi Indi,

    If you like, you can also use DLGuard with 1SC.

    All your sales go through 1SC as usual, but after payment the customer goes to DLGuard (which runs on your website) to download.

    This gives you a few benefits:

    - No download file size limit (within server ability)
    - You keep the files on your website
    - You have all of your customer information (exporting customer details from 1SC is limited)

      Thanks for the advice sam. DLGuard looks pretty good.

      One question though, does DLGuard work with the upsell express in 1SC?

      For example, lets say a customer buys just the ebook, im assuming they will be taken to the download page on my site like you said.

      Now lets say they take the audio book upsell, can they be taken to a different page with the ebook and audio book like it is in 1shopping cart?

    I would set this up as a membership and even if
    you only charge a one time fee, it still brings the
    customer back to your site over and over which
    gives you more chances to sell additional products.

    Good question!

    I believe the 1SC upsells will come back as a "cart" sale, so basically it just reports back to DLGuard that they bought two products.

    DLGuard will then display the two products on the download page for the upsell.

    So as long as 1SC treats it as a normal multi-product purchase, it'll work fine.

    If you're worried, we could set up a quick test if you like - just open a support ticket over and DLGuard.com, and I can whip up a test file that'll tell me exactly what 1SC is sending back for the upsell, and then I can tell you whether it'll work.

    Worse case, I can just create a patch for you to make sure it DOES work!

      Hi sam, i made the decision to purcahse dlguard and i spent the day adding my products. Now for the upsell in 1shoppingcart, i set the product up just like the rest of the products i set up in dlguard. But when the upsell is accepted in a test buy, the product does not come up for download in the dlguard product download area. Can you help me get this worked out. Thanks.

      ( i didnt know where to open up a support ticket in dlguard )
