Help! Does my product suck or would you promote it?

Hi guys, first time poster. I don't know much about the affiliate marketing scene but I've been reading these forums trying to learn as much as possible.

I'm an art dealer and I recently finished my first eBook called "How to Make Money Flipping Art." (MakeMoneyFlippingArt (dot) com) A friend of mine suggested I should use Clickbank to process transactions and open the promotion of the book to affiliate marketers. So I made an Affiliate specific page here. (MakeMoneyFlippingArt (dot) com (slash) Affiliates.html)

I've gotten a few people interested but not as many as I hoped. I've set my commissions to 75% (as several of you suggested on other threads) and even thrown a few ready-made ads up on the affiliate page.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks guys! Any help. guidance, or suggestions would be appreciated!
By the way, I'll email copies to anyone interested in promoting it...

    Hi. Welcome to the forums!

First thing I would do is create some affiliate sales tools. These will literally double, tripple, quintupple your affiliates. Either you can make them or you can outsource them. Buttons, banners, email forms and so on.

Second you have to realize that this is a very specific niche, so go to where there may be interested buyers. While work from home type of forums or sites would be great, I think art forums would be better. Try taking out a banner or ad with one of these to get your name out there. There is surely an audience you just have to find it.

I would also consider doing some keyword research and finding some similar keywords that get a good amount of searches, setting up a landing page and preselling to them, pushing them onto your CB product.

Last thing I would recommend is persistence. Stay persistent, don't give up, it will happen, you'll get sales.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

I think you have a fantastic concept, but your website and copy lets it down big time. Have you done any testing on you're conversion rate?

You gonna have to sexy it up, make it exciting. Also the affiliate ads need working on.

Lastly is the price, even at 75%, a $20 sale is not gonna get many affiliates excited.

Like i said, i think you have a potential winner, perhaps add some great value with audio or video, get that price around the $47 mark, then offer 75% together With a decent
salespage and you will be golden.

This is such a good response, and it says everything that came to my mind.

One other thing I'd add to that is to get more confidence. Not only in yourself but in what your promoting.

You can't always ask what other people would do here because some of them aren't your target market and couldn't tell you the truth without blurting something negative. It's comments like that that keeps people from moving forward.

Nothing with asking for advice, so mines would be to stay away from questions like "Does my product suck?" and focus on asking questions like "What can I do to IMPROVE my product so it sells?"

Anyways, I really agree with those suggestions above, and I'll also add to consult with a copywriter because clearly salescopy isn't your strongest point (take some of those profits, and get a good copywriter)

I recommend you pick up a copy of Maria Veloso's Web Copy That Sells. It is only $20 on amazon.com That book has thousands of dollars worth of information on making a professional sales page. I guarantee you, if you get that book and implement those strategies, your ebook will sell. This is a great forum with a lot of great people. Make sure that you ask questions. Good luck.
