Tracking traffic source of subscribers in Aweber

Hey Warriors,

I want to dynamically track where my different subscribers are coming from, without making a thousand different squeeze pages and opt in forms (I'm using aweber). The best way I have found to do this is to run some php and do a php echo in the aweber tracking form.

So if I point to my squeeze page at mydomain.com/squeeze.php?tid=ezine it will include ezine in the tracking code on my aweber account. But does anyone know how to do this with a WP squeeze page?

I thought about running a php plugin, but I don't think I can pass data by using a URL like this: mydomain.com/squeeze/?tid=ezine

Could anyone share your thoughts on how you track where all your subscribers are coming from?

I'm no coder but what I was thinking was using this Wordpress function and then just make it enter the string into a hidden field. Sorry I can't be more of a help :p

An easy option is to set up Goals on Google Analytics. You enter the goal destination page (which would be your confirmation page on AWeber), andevery time a visitor reaches that page, the goal is completed.

You can get reports by completed goals, they will show you the traffic sources.

Then you can pass the tid as a $_GET - I've used this method to allow my affiliates to dynamically insert their affiliate ID into posts promoting my products.

Thanks Kevin, didn't know you could do that with WP. Is it possible to do it with just one page, or is it an all-inclusive setting?

I thought about Analytics, but it seems like my numbers are always different between analytics and aweber stats. Plus I haven't figured out how to see what traffic sources are converting to goals in analytics yet...I should probably look into that
