How Do You Keep Organized??

INTERNET MARKETING

Hey Guys!

I was wondering how you all kept organized. I've found that I'm really good at keeping folders and spreadsheets and documents on my computer that are readily accessible but, on the flip side of that I've also found that I can hardly ever remember to do tasks at certain times, so I was thinking of setting up a calendar with Google Calendars to remind me to do daily tasks that I often forget.....

How do you keep organized/remember the daily stuff?

Do these 3 things and your life will be transformed (and I am barely exaggerating here):
1. Every night before bed, write down everything you want/need to do the next day in a notebook.
2. In the morning, confirm those things and prioritize them
3. Use time-boxing software to help you get them done

  I do not agree with this one! But I guess some people prefer a typewriter or a pad & pen to a wordprocessor. To each their own, as they say.

  I've tried various online calendars (google, yahoo, etc.), my phone's organizer/calendar, and other techie solutions. But like the other posters in this thread I've circled all the way back from high tech to using a paper calendar and a clipboard. It seems illogical, but it just works better for me.
  
  Each day when I am done working I go over what I've accomplished or not, look over my calendar for the next work day, and then make an ordered list of the top six things to do the next day. It really helps me to be able to look at that list in the morning and start strong with the first thing rather than try to get organized at that time of day. It feels like getting a solid, running start and I get a lot more done than I would without taking the time to prepare the day before.

Yes - it's odd - I've used the lot. Settle now for iGoogle for quick and dirty, and then a Filofax.... It'll be a quill pen next!

What Anthony Robbins teach is to use list down what you need to do, then group them, and you need to know what's the purpose of getting this done. For example, you want to get more traffic to your sites, because that would mean higher revenue in order for you to buy a home that you can feel safe and protected, and keep your family together.

If that is the case, then what steps do you need to do in order to get more traffic? List them out and prioritize them. Figure out how much time is needed for each activity. After that, make sure the top 3 items are completed.

On your daily planner, mark out the timing where you would be focusing on traffic. Work on those. Block out noise (things like checking email, surfing net) while you are working on those.

A good tool to use is Google Docs. Just make a spreadsheet outlining all your activities online. It doesn't have the power of Excel, but its quick and easy to use and can be accessed from anywhere.

I use my trusty notepad in tandem with 'the action machine' - it's a time management software that really helps remind me of work that I need to get done for the day
