Google Analytics advice....

Hello

I'm trying to find out if i can track where customers/sales are coming from on Analytics. I have the e-commerce set up and it works fine. Its showing the transactions and where they are coming from.
Most the conversions will show as direct. I know that when customers first come to the site they very rarely buy first time due to they type of products that are sold. When they do decide they type the company name in to a search engine or access the site from a bookmark and then make the purchase which makes the transaction show as direct.

Is there any way from analytics or by adding code can i track which sites, search engines etc they found the site originally from before they came back to the site directly and bought??

Many thanks

Rob

Analytics shows you the traffic source. You can easily look up whether they are coming from search engines (including the keywords), referring sites (the exact link of the site), or direct traffic.

I've found Free Website Tracking, Statistics and Click-Stream Analysis | Degaa Analytics for a free analytics script. It's in Beta.
