my site was indexed and then de-indexed?

I searched in google, site:mysite.com and it was indexed the other day. I checked again today and it's not there anymore. Is this normal? It's a new site, about a week old.

If its a new site then this is pretty normal. just give it about a week or two and it should be back on google. patience here is the key. And wait a little bit on new sites before you backlink your sites.

I have had this happen many times but in the end as long as you do not get into black hat stuff, you should be fine. Try and be patient and contiue to add content and build backlinks.

It normally doesn't happens. I believe you would have search using 1) site:mysite.com and later with world wide web(the top level domain-consider only bolded letters). Notice the difference? Google considers these two links to be two different weblinks. If you don't have .htaccess redirect to single link, make it! Otherwise, it's not a big issue as suggested by fellow members.
