How do you get to the top of google ?????

I primarily use EzineArticles. If you put seo article technique, and seo and article marketing into Google search you will see 2 of my articles in the #1 spot that I don't care if someone tries to bump out as an example. However, not much traffic, buy hey they are both #1.

On the other hand, when you get #1 with lots of searches for your keyword phrase it can really pay off over time... I have some articles under pen names in non IM niches that have over 200,000 views but that is not common. Getting 3,000 to 10,000 views is much more realistic with EzineArticles.

There are many other ways and I'm sure some more warriors will chime in.

1.wrtite each day one article and post it on your site.
2.write each day another article and post it on articles directories
3.do seo to your website content.
4.get backlinks from relevant website ,high pr, authority sites...
conti the above each day with quality articles and your website ranking will get higher.

I target low competition keywords with a good amount of searches and backlink with social bookmarks. Make it to the top pretty quickly that way.

The quickest way is to sign up for an adwords account and bid more than anyone else for your chosen keywords. Get to the top of google immediately.

The most important thing that you should focus on getting top search engine ranking is keyword research. You will need to find specific keywords that can describe your website and with less competition. If your website is entirely new go for long tail keyword phrases instead of the generic ones.

  If you want to rank really, really fast! You have to go for low competition keywords! Up to 10K
  
  If you want to rank fast, little extra competition, and good keyword search volume. up to 50K competition
  
  If you want to rank for higher competition such as 100K or more, it will take a little while, BUT well worth it for some keywords.
  
  However, no matter which choice you make, you have to do on page optimization, you have to get backlinks to your pages, from HIGH Pr Sites!
  
  Further more, faster rank will have sites that already have HIGH pr rank compared to brand new domain. That is often why people will go with squidoo, hubpages, usfreeads and so forth!
  
  BUT you are building an for your business, if you rank your own domain high.

For direct traffic you concentrate on low competitive keywords and go for article directories or web2.0 properties to dominate high competitive keywords and you can get traffic to your site through these sites..Like this i plan to get top of google..

Jesus. It's not useful to just list "articles","videos", "press releases" etc. There's so much more and I know people who post that stuff every day and still won't get traffic. You need consistency, yes... But the most important part of it all is to know what the person you are writing to is feeling and what makes that person want to click your link.

If you do articles and nobody will click your link (but you get a backlink) about 90% of the bang is wasted. Learn about your market, know them, feel them, then you'll easily guide them in the right direction and make them click your links and your traffic problem is solved.

Very true...Getting to the top is important, but it will not help if the traffic does not go to the offer.

You need a wide variety of targetted backlinks if you are wanting to be number one for a competitive phrase, but if you do your market research correctly, you can target less competitive phrases that will be easier to rank for and still bring in substantial amounts of traffic.

You need to build a site that has your keyword in the title and meta tags as well as preferably in your domain name. Then you need to keep building decent backlinks. By decent I mean backlinks that don't have pr or have a pagerank of 1 or something like that. Just keep building over time and you should be able to climb the rankings and hopefully get to the top spot.

Also don't use a keyword like "lose weight" to start. Use a long tail keyword to start like "lose leg fat fast" or something along those lines then as you build backlinks and get higher rankings, you can start targeting more broad keywords
