Do you add friends in social network sites?

Many of us created extra account for social network sites like Twitter, Myspace, Facebook etc just for the sake of getting backlinks by posting articles, profile page link etc.

I want to know that whether you add friends in these accounts?

    Yes i add friends in social network sites and communicate with them as it is a good way to increase traffic to a website.

    I add random friends to account which i'm sure will not reveal much of personal/professional life. Many times adding random people for the sake of social media generates lot of spam and useless connections. So i decided to organize a bit, here is what i have done on social networks.

    1.Close friends and family on facebook account. You can add another facebook account for other use like IM professional contacts etc.
    2.College friends, internet friends etc on orkut account.
    3.IM, business and other professional contacts Twitter

    I try to avoid mixing these categories. It gives lot of headache and i don't want to pass personal life to some other category and professional life to another.

    Think before you add people to any social network and limit your personal information when you add random people.

    Not without checking with them. Even when a friend would seem to be a perfect fit, I've found to my great surprise that they can be emphatic that they be excluded.
