Some technical questions about my website

I've only just started making my own websites last week...or at least attempting to...and I have a few questions.

When I do a search in Google for the term "perimenopause blog" without the quotes, I find my site on page 4 and this is what I see -

Index of /

Index of / .ftpquota · cgi-bin/. Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8i DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 ...
perimenopauseblog.com/ - Cached -

What does all of this mean? I've been trying to figure this out for the last 2 days and I just don't understand. Does this have something to do with meta descriptions or tags or something like that? I just installed the All in One SEO plugin this morning...will that somehow help?

Another question, the permalinks for my different articles and such, should I be changing those to match the titles of my articles?

I hope this even makes sense. I am so NOT understanding any of the technical stuff I've been doing these past 2 weeks. It's like I don't even know what I don't know.

Another site I've made, Bl*wJ*bTechniques.net, is another one I'm struggling with..even though I did manage to make a sale on this site last night. Can someone take a look there as well?

I don't expect anyone to do a detailed analysis, just some simple tips if there is any areas you happen to see that I could improve on. Thanks so much.

One more quick question, how do I get all those little buttons on my site so that people can do things like dig and bookmark, or that they can subscribe to my site?

Oops, yet one more question, should my fellatio site have some type of warning for those under 18 on it? I don't want to get in trouble.

if you only see an "index of" this means you have no site and no default index.html/index.php.

Let me check this quick...ok, you have a site there. So...i THINK that the google cache is outdated, your site was crawled and indexed BEFORE you had the actual site up.

Its likely that the problem would go away alone next time your site is crawled since now you have a proper site.

Hint: ALWAYS disallow crawling/indexing using a "robots.txt" file if a site is under construction.. (google "robots.txt").

Tip: Add site to google webmaster tools too.

Thanks, GeorgR, I appreciate your help.

I was able to get my adult site verified with Google, but not my perimenopause site. I'm going to have to step away for a second because I'm about ready to smash my computer to pieces

    Permalinks should look like:

    /%postname%/

This will show the actual postname and not a post number.

As for "those little buttons" - they are generally made with the use off plug-ins downloaded from wordpress.org such as Tell-a-Friend Widget Plugin.

As for the adult site - yes it should have an age warning if it is even close to be "R" rated just to cover yourself.

    Hope this helps.
