Same article posted to various sites - does it constitue duplicate content?

I have written some articles and have spread myself across many web2.0 sites like squidoo, hubpages, weebly and others like blogger.com

So to publish these articles, do I just use the same ones and publish them on these various platforms OR do some minor tweaking before publishing them on each different site which is time consuming.

Also is it the case that the posting of same article to different sites does not constitue duplicate conent which I understand is the case when u submit the same article to same site.

Your feedback on this most welcome.

Only worry about having duplicate content on a single site. You can spread a single article to as many sites as you want. On some sites it will rank well, while on others it may not, but don't worry about it being penalized.

As long you do not submit an article to the same site twice, I do not think it would constitute duplication.

Most Internet Marketers will tell you to post in as many relevant sites as possible. The more exposure, the more likely you are to generate a sale.

Ive found from personal experience, that posting duplicate articles to various directories has much less impact on search engines, (especially G).

I think it would be in your best interest to write different articles.

Ezine articles actually encourage this by telling you to post your articles on your site to their site. In search engines eyes, your article and link will only be counted once, but you should get more traffic with more exposure.
